MonsonWeather first went online on February 8th, 2005. Previously located at http://monsonweather.tripod.com and then http://monsonwx.tripod.com. MonsonWeather is currently the first and only Monson,MA weather website. I am running a Davis Vantage Pro [1] weather station purchased at www.ambientweather.com . You can see photos of it on the Photos page of the site. To view graphs and log all of our data we use the Davis WeatherLink 5.5.1 software. I use Ambient’s Virtual Weather Station software to put our weather data on the web. The Davis Vantage Pro Weather Station is the most important piece of equipment. it is wireless and solar powered sending data to the console located on my desk. The station’s sensors are housed in a fan-aspirated radiation shield to protect it from the sun. I also have a WW1-Weather Watch Pro so I can view what the weather is where I am when I’m not at home To upload my weather data to the site, I use Ambient’s “Virtual Weather Station” , also available at www.ambientweather.com . For my webcam images i use ImageSalsa weather edition and for time lapse videos i use MovieSalsa, both available from www.ImageSalsa.com. |
